Cheryl combines her background in counseling and psychology with her knowledge of nourishing whole foods to help coach her clients to live a more balanced and energized life .
Her collaborative work with her clients involves creating meaningful goals, designing their new vision while gently supporting them on their unique journey which includes tuning in to their own body wisdom.
Cheryl founded Living Whole Health in 2003 and has been serving clients of all ages from kids to seniors in Alexandria and nationwide via Zoom. Having been raised in a home with an organic gardener for a Dad and natural foods focused Mother it was only natural that she would become a whole foods "foodie" and healer. She is grateful for her early exposure, support and interest in natural and whole foods as the way to prevent and heal most disease processes. She specializes in weight loss while supporting emotional eating issues and truly understands how the "whole" person must be addressed in creating a health and wellness plan and preventing or reversing a disease process. Cheryl has been leading cooking classes, group programs and wellness retreats around the country enjoying mountain inns & farms and oceanfront villas.
Cheryl received her master’s degree in psychology & counseling from the University of Santa Monica and received certification from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in NYC, as a health coach. She completed The Food as Medicine training sponsored by the Center for Mind Body Medicine (CMBM) where she also served as faculty. She went on to complete the CMBM Advanced Mind Body Skills training as well as MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) and continues to integrate those skills into her private practice and corporate workshops. She coached patients at Inova Integrative Medicine Associates a functional medicine practice, as a nutritional health coach and mind body skills educator and continues to work alongside Functional Medicine MD's .
Cheryl is passionate about sharing what she has learned and conducts wellness workshops in organizations nationwide for the past 19 years. She enjoys the process of educating and inspiring participants to consider their role in achieving optimal health in all areas of their life. She is a health educator for Kaiser Permanente since 2015 delivering hundreds of wellness topics both in person and via web classes online.
Cheryl expanded her work into her love of Cacao and since 2019 and has been offering Cacao Ceremonies with Sound Healing with her husband Curtis in Park City, Utah and as a retreat offering. A great thirst for learning and growth in 2021 Cheryl became a Reiki Level 2 Practitioner, Chakra Drumming & Chakra 101 certified practitioner and is offering energy healing with Reiki.
